Training Agreement

Thank you for choosing AJ Felts Dog Behavior Solutions! Please complete and return the following training agreement prior to your scheduled training service. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the package fee is required in advance, in order to reserve a spot on our training schedule. The remaining balance is due at the start of the program and may be paid by cash, check, credit card or PayPal.

For Immersion Program clients, $500 of the initial fee is non-refundable. The remainder of the fee is refundable up until 30 days prior to your dog's drop-off date. If you cancel your Immersion Program within 15-30 days prior to the drop-off date, 50% of the remaining fee will be refundable. If you cancel within 14 days prior to the drop-off date, no refunds will be given.

All training packages and sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Boarding Information

If your dog will be with us for Beyond Boarding or for an Immersion Program, please provide enough dog food for the amount of time your dog will be staying with us, along with feeding instructions, as well as any medication that your dog may need during his stay and any other special instructions. Dogs requiring daily medication, injections, canned dog food or a raw diet are subject to additional boarding fees. If you use a training collar or a muzzle on your dog, please bring them.

All dogs must be dropped off and picked up by the client.

Note: We do not offer client/dog visitation during our Immersion Program. It is important that you understand the need for structure and consistency when modifying behavior. Visiting your dog during his Immersion Program is disruptive and will redirect his attentiveness, causing a setback in his progress. Thank you for your commitment to the training process and for entrusting us with the care of your dog.

Waivers

#1: AJ Felts Dog Behavior Solutions will endeavor to create as safe an environment as possible for the training and boarding care of the dog(s) identified above, and will offer only sound, safe, and responsible training, care, and post-boarding/training instructions. Owner agrees, however, that all animals may exhibit unpredictable behaviors and that AJ Felts Dog Behavior Solutions will not be liable for the actions of the dog that are outside of the control of AJ Felts Dog Behavior Solutions. Owner agrees that the recommendation by AJ Felts Dog Behavior Solutions of any product or service is not a guarantee of performance or owner’s satisfaction with that product or service.

#2: AJ Felts Dog Behavior Solutions agrees to indemnify and hold owner harmless from and against any claims of injury, expense, costs, loss or damages caused by the gross negligence or willful misconduct of AJ Felts Dog Behavior Solutions while the dog is in the sole custody, care and control of AJ Felts Dog Behavior Solutions. Owner acknowledges that AJ Felts Dog Behavior Solutions has no control over the dog when the dog is not in the exclusive custody, care and control of AJ Felts Dog Behavior Solutions, and owner agrees to indemnify and hold AJ Felts Dog Behavior Solutions harmless from and against any and all claims of injury, expense, costs, loss or damages caused by the actions of the dog when the dog is not in the sole custody, care and control of AJ Felts Dog Behavior Solutions.

#3: Owner acknowledges and agrees that owning any animal, including the dog, has inherent risks, including but not limited to the risk of dog bites to owner.

#4: Owner fully understands the tools and techniques that are used to train and modify the behavior of their dog and agrees to the tools and techniques which include prong collar, bark collar, remote training collar, slip lead, pet convincer, and muzzle.
